Note of Love

Hi everyone,

I've been really busy with the girl's end of year concerts, long work hours and christmas shopping.  I haven't  been able to get into making cards.  I had started several cards for challenges but missed the deadlines.  Oh well I am sure they will fit into a challenge somewhere in the new year.

Wow what a year!
I have made it for the colour create challenge - burgundy, pink and ivory.  Wonderful colour that are very peaceful yet full of love.

It was funny  the way the hearts are on the card are how they fell when I punched them out.  It looked great in those positions.  The pink heart was hard to see so I outlined them with bravo burgundy SU marker and the white gel pen.
I used copics to colour TGF's wild sprout and the sentiment is from Stampin' UP!

As the girls are on holidays now and I am working through Christmas hopefully I will have time to make cards.  I will definately be making card in the new year as Santa in bringing me more copics and TGF stamps to colour in.  So I will be in heaven once again.

If I don't post before Xmas I hope you all have a safe and merry Christmas and that Santa is good to you all, and will see you in the new year!!

Mojo Monday - 116

Nothing like a good sketch to get the juices flowing.  I have the Designer Paper that I've been wanting to use but just didn't know what to do with it.   Now I do.

Below it the entry for the Mojo Monday sketch 116.

The paper is from petals and paisley SU DS and the image is from Hope & Grace series from The greeting farm. I used the Martha butterfly punch and glittered the wings.  I paper pierced the little patches on her pants with SU DS paper left overs, and coloured her in Copics and SU markers.  The bubbles are from the SU stamp set circus circles.

Cute Card Thursday - teen terrors

Hi everyone,

I am so excited as my Card for the SFTW was picked top 3!   I must admit I thought he was a spunk straight after I coloured him in.

This next card I made for the Cute Card Thursday challenge, where we had to create a card for a teenager.
I had already coloured the image in with copics and was looking for a great challenge to enter it in.

I am also adding this card into the TGF FFF challenge by Kadie where we aren't allow to use DP or any kind.
I used the corner punch and decorated it with bling (glitter) and added flowers for some effect.

Simon Says Animals

Hello Everybody,

I created this card for the Simon Says challenge.  We had to put an animal on the card with a Christmas Theme.  I didn't go a Christmas theme as I need a peaceful card for a Sympathy card.

The stamps are from the Flourishes Waterlily stamp set and the designer paper is from SU's Le Jardin series.
I coloured the waterlilies and fish in with copics and simply arranged them onto the card.

I saw mummy kissing Santa Christmas Card

Hi Everyone,

I made this card last night after promising my husband I would only just be a minute before I came to bed.  I started colouring in the cute TGF images with the xmas card in mind.  Then I couldn't stop I had to complete the card, post it on the TGF gallery.  Then I felt guilty so I went to bed and now posting it on the blog this morning.

I was inspired by Amy with one of her many gorgeous xmas cards.  The one that inspired this card is here.
The computer generated verse got me thinking and I had two perfect TGF stamps for the song title. I coloured the couple with copics,  Then I printed out the verse and discovered the card layout I was going to do, wouldn't fit so I chose this layout with SU Designer papers.

This card fits perfectly for the Colour Create Challenge  -  red, green and White.

They look very cute.

Anya Ink and Stamping For the Weekend

Hi everyone.

I hope everyone is fine.  Over the weekend we were all totally wiped out in the heat it reached 34 at one stage.
I also wanted to invited everyone to join the Montygonza Monthly challenge this month.

Now onto the card...
This card was created for the two mentioned challenges.  At Anya Ink we had to create a boy card, so I chose my new TGF Limited addition Digi.    At Stamping for the Weekend the theme was anniversary and milestones.  So I chose the big event of turning 21.  It is not so significant theses days but back in the old days it meant you were official considered an adult able to drink alcohol and I think at one stage be able to drive.

The background Designer Paper is from Kaisercraft Grandiose and that basically chose my colour scheme.
The clock image is from Stamping Up!'s sense of time stamp set and the sentiment is computer generated.
I coloured in the sexy boy with Copics and to give the jeans the "jeans" look I used the colourless blender straigt after colouring to wipe of some of the ink.

I hope you enjoy this card.

Wintery Glittery Christmas Card

.
I have combined two challenges for this card as they were very similar themes.  First one is for the Colour Create Colour Challenge of Blue, White and Silver, with added challenge of making it wintry.

The second Challenge was for the Cute Card Thursday which wants us to Glitter ourselves silly!

About the Card.
The ribbon is a sheer white ribbon with glittery silver balls, the images is VIVI from The Greeting Farm, and I have glittered her white fluff on her santa hat.  Her shoes and Bell are coloured silver.  The present ribbon is also coloured in silver   I coloured VIVI with copics.
The two brad are from SU and are silver.

Three Challenges in One Card

This is the first time I made a card for three Challenges.  I couldn't resist, the opportunity.

The sketch is for the Mojo Monday's Sketch Challenge # 112
The colour scheme is for the Colour Dare Challenge where we had to use Really Rust, Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip.
The theme is a masculine style Thinking of you card which fits nicely for The Simon Says Challenge.

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #27

Over at Midnight Madness we had to follow another gorgeous sketch.  Below is the card I made for this sketch.

I coloured in the Miss Anya Stamp with copics in blue and green, a while back waiting for the right sketch and I found it.  I used Designer Paper from Stampin Up! and the flourish comes from the SU stamp set yummy.

A Wedding Card

Hi Everyone,

I bought these tins of flowers from Forever Flowers at the local Craft store and fell in love with them. The are perfect for wedding cards so I made one.

I used the Couple Stamp from The Greeting Farms's Cake Topper set and the sentiment from Wiff of Joy wedding sentiments.  I use the Stampin UP! Lace punch and Spellbinders for the borders.  I used Glitter glue to create sparkly balls around the sentiments to give it bling.   Copics were used to colour the image.

Immediately thought of The Greeting Farms' MacSplendid Stamps and created the card below.

I have my Anya Ink Mojo on!

Hello everybody,

Well yesterday we had the Melbourne Cup the race that stops the nation and we had a public holiday to celebrate. For me it meant getting a new workspace for my cards.

I have decided to combine two challenges today.  I have followed the Mojo Sketch #111 and at Anya Ink we had to do Paper Tole which I have done with Wendy from The TGF stamp set.

This photo demonstrated the paper tole technique where you layer the picture to create a 3d image. I am wondering if I should've coloured each layer, so I don't get the white layers.

thank you for looking and don't for get to play along with Montygonza's Monthly card Challenge.

Mojo Mondays 110

I have lost track of time and all the challenges.  I am so behind and I feel I need to catch up.  I curently madly making cards to sell at the local markets so I have become completely disorientated.

Any way  this is a card a made for the Mojo Monday's sketch 110. The sketch is so elegant, but the card looked better in my head than in real life.  I don't know something about the card just isn't right.

I have a new snowflake punch so I used that and glittered the image with glitter glue, the ribbon is sheer navy blue and the images are from SU and Kaisercraft.

Stamp'n for the weekend week 22

Woo HOO!  another 22.  I love the number 22 and Stamping for the weekend is at number 22.

We had to choose a one of three songs from the 80's and combine that them with the colors orange, blue and purple.   I chose Dirty Laundry - Don Henley.

I used the laundry stamp from The greeting Farm.  I was excited to get to use this stamp.  I had heaps of left over strips and I hate wasting paper, so I cut them up and formed a brickwork pattern for the background.  I coloured her in the chosen colours with copics and added a prima flower.

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #25

I loved doing this  midnight madness sketch challenge.  It was beautiful sketch to follow, I had so many ideas for this sketch but in the end I went with black, red and white.  I decided to use my TGF Daliah from the wild sprout series and turned her into my Harliquin doll.   DP paper is from SU designer series in Riding hood red.  I used SU markers to colour her in, with copics to colour her skin and flower.

Sketch and Stash #22

Hi Everyone,

I decided I had to play along over at  Sketch and Stash  because they were up to their 22 Sketch challenge.  WELL 22 is my absolute favourite number so  I have to play.

Here is my entry into this stetch.  I really enjoyed this as it was a clean and simple sketch that you could dress up or dress down.  I went for in between.

I chose the paper from Stampin UP! called bella bleu, and I always though of this paper as a wedding type paper, so that is what I went for.  The lilacs are from Blossoms Abound from SU and the sentiment is from Wiff of Joy Wedding Wishes.   The colours are not quite navy, night of navy, cream and kraft.

Stamp'n for the weekend week 20

Hi all,

It all about have a haunting time at Stamping for the weekend challenge blog. I actually don't own any halloween stamps, so I had to make it up as I go.   I am a little embrassed with the card.  I used the TGF owl from Forest Friends stamp set and coloured the eyes red to give it a devilish look.  I used the full moon, then hand drew the spider web.  Looking at it now I see how amature it looks.  The sentiment is computer generatered.

The background was created using a brayer ad the Kaleidacolour spectrum pad from Stampin' Up!.

Christmas card

Hello,

I was all excited this morning as my husband and I were off to a house auction for the house of our dreams.  Trouble was...it was the house of everyone else's dreams and we didn't get it.  The house when for some ridiculous amount.  OH well ...

Here is a card made on Friday night for Christmas.  I love how it came together and am pleased the paper worked with the silver paper.

The image is from Wiff of Joy and the sentiment is from Stamp'in Up! All year Cheer.  The paper is also from Stampin Up called Ski Slope.

Anya Ink chanllenge #4

 Hi all,

The challenge at Anya Ink was to follow a recipe.  We had to use 2 different ribbon, staples and any number of circles.

I chose to do a black and Pink themed card.  The two ribbons I used one a pink mesh ribbon and a black satin ribbon. The image is from the Wild sprouts series and her dress fitted nicely into my black and pink theme.  The petals of the flowers are individual circles to go with the circle requirement and I used the staples to act like stitching around the sentiment.
The images was coloured in copics.

Enjoy!

Trouble was that I ended up covering the seagull with the sentiment.
Never mind, I love the way it turned out.

Will you go out with me?

I saw the sketch over at Mojo Mondays sketch 109, and was going to do a wedding type of card using the couple from TGF, but I didn't have suitable papers or ribbons to go with it.  I was enspired by the red and green colours of Toffee Apples and instantly thought of Valentine's Day card using the red and green. (I know it's early but better get in early I say LOL).

I don't know if the term "Will you go out with me?" translates to those living North of the equator but it is common term here in Australia.  Once asked and the other person agrees you are then considered boyfriend and girlfriend especially in the school yard.

Anya Ink chanllenge #3

Hi Ladies I can't help myself..  I made another card for the Anya Ink Challenge.  This time we were to use stitching.  I do have a sewing machine and have some experience in sewing, mainly quilts but that is another story.  I can't sew on cards, so I used faux stitching and faux brads using SU markers.

I better go to bed I have to get up early tomorrow.

Two Gerbra cards from flourishes

Hi all,

I have ventured into the world of Flourishes after admiring so many creations many with these stunning stamps. I bought the daisy Gerbra set as a friend of mine loves gerbras so I wanted to make some cards for her.   The card above was made for The Splitcoaststampers SC249 and was warmed by the comments made about the card.

Below is a card I made with purple gerbras as  purple is one of my favourite colours, however I really didn't have any purple Designer paper to go with it, so I just used some purple cardstock with brown Designer paper.

Some Cards from the weekend

Hi all,

As I said before I had the long weekend without kids and that meant days without interruption, so I could and I did make lots of cards.  I was in heaven, but alas all things must come to a end.  I am glad to get my little cherubs back though.  You do miss them.  Below are two of the cards I made.  I will save the others for the next post.

My husband thinks the bear ruins the card he thinks the bear should be a paler purple, what do you think?

The long weekend without the kids!!!

Hello everyone,

It the long weekend and I have no kids... they are having the weekend at my parents in law.  In my mind I planned to have four days of making cards and stamping, but so far I've had a beautiful relaxing couple of days with my husband. We have found the house of a dreams and we are seriously going to put an offer on it.
Today our Football team plays so I will let you know how it goes tomorrow.  I did get some stamping in and made this cute card with some new paper that bought.

The sketch is from Friday sketches I don't know which number, but I saw the sketch and thought it looked very elegant.  I wanted to use a burgundy colours prima flower but I didn't have any.  I hope the red isn't too odd looking.

Black and White with a little Sahara

Hello welcome to my blog.

I found this black and white paper (the flower Designer Paper on the card) and fell in love.  Immediately knew what card stock would look good with this paper.  I originally going to use the Geisha Anya from TGF but decided after recieving my new Edward Wild Sprout that I would make a male card.  Edward was coloured in copics using the black, c7, c5,c3 and c1 grey colours and baby skin pink.   The flower designer paper is from Bo Bunny's and the stripe paper is from Kaisercraft.   The cardstock is basic black, whisper white and Sahara Sands.
I used the Sketch from Splitcoast Stampers SC247 and will entering the card into this challenge. I have entered it into the OCC monochromatic challenge.

My football team (NRL) Parramatta got into the grand final so I am looking for to that on Sunday.  If they win I will be doing a few Cheerleader Anya's in Paramatta Eels colours (yellow and Blue).

Pink Bunny Birthday

Hello everyone,
I created this one for the new colour create Challenge.  We were asked to use the colours Hot Pink, Light/Dusty pink and Chocolate.
I not entirely happy with the card, as I look at it I think I should have made the flourish chocolate and use some white flowers to break up the pink flowers.
What I used:
The paper is from SU - Pixie Pink, chocolate Chip and the designer paper is from Spring Fling.
The Images are from - SU, Kaiser Craft and TGF.
The Brad is from SU and the Flower is from Kaiser Craft.

Please come back to my blog on the 1st of Oct for my second  monthly challenge which will be another Sketch.  You still have time to enter the first as I will announce the winners on the 1st as well.

Baby cards that are so cute!

Good morning everyone,
I am glad people are participating in my Card challenges above.  For those that haven't had a look, I will be running a monthly Card Challenge, where we will follow card sketches, colour schemes, techquies or a combination of both.  There will be prizes and the top 5 will be judged by myself and ranked in order.  Please join the fun and spread the word.

Lets move along.....
Below are two baby cards I have created with the TGF Oh baby set.  This is a real cute set and I am looking forwards to making lots of different cards with it.

For the boys

For the girls

The paper used is from the retired SU Designer paper called Spring Break  and Spring Fling or something like that.  The card is Chocolate Chip, Pink Piroette and Bashful Blue. The Teddy bellies and ear were colour with SU markers bashful blue and pretty in pink and the bodies were coloured with copics E37 and E47.  The Sentiment comes from the SU Artfully Asian stamp set.

My new TGF stamp

I have entered the card above into the Simon Says Challenge, challenge.  We had to follow a recipe which was :
1  picture, 2 papers and 3 embellishments.   I chose for the picture the TGF Anya Indian, because she is so cute and I just got her this week.  The papers were chosen from the SU western designer paper, and the embellishments were the ribbon (which came out funny in the scan as it is sheer), the feathers which are in the US flag colours to reflect where she came from and the chocolate brads.

Also at the top of my blog is my card challenges if you would like to participate.  Winners will be displayed on my blog on the 1st OCT.  Good luck.

Wealthy Geisha

Hi everyone, I am finally feeling back to my good ol' self.   I have entered the design a sprout competition over at TGF so go along and check it out here  ( please don't laugh too hard).  I am entering this card for the new colour challenge at  Color Create Challenge  where the new colours are neon green and black.  I don't have any neon green but I went for green galore which is pretty bright.  I chose the geisha anya from TGF and mixed it up with some Asian style stamps from SU.  The circle symbol means wealth.  I used green glitter for the flower pin in the hair and on the kimono.
On Jo's fabulous heads up I have also entered this into Simon says Oriental Challenge. Thank you.

What a couple of weeks i had!!!!

I have had a couple of weeks that I would like to put behind me, as it sapped my soul and drained all motivation.  I had the sad passing of my Uncle and was very sick with the flu.  As I slowly recover from both I am returning to card making.  I am still needing a little motivation, and I know that will return when my new TGF stamps arrive.... For inspiration and something to CASE I went to the lady that has inspired me greatly as she is so talented... Faith Hofrichter  and chose one of her cards see here.
I  have entered this card below, into the stamping for the weekend colour challenge week 14.  For this challenge we had to use Teal, orange and pink.
Colours used are Taken with Teal, pixie pink, Pretty in pink, Pumpkin Pie and used Copics to colour in the cow.  The stamps are from TGF rock the farm and the background flower is from Stampin UP.
The ribbon is actually bright orange, but it didn't scan very well.

Thank you for looking
