Get Well for a Friend or Friend

At my work a friend of mine asked me to make him a Get Well card for him for a friend of his that was going into hospital. He told me she a jet black hair, loved blue, pink, silver and purple. Loved lipgloss, PJ's and cupcakes. I think I covered most of that request what do you think?

Looking forward to celebrating TGF's second birthday. I have a little surprise in store with my card I can't wait.

Spider Henry

Hi this card is serving several purposes today. Firstly my daughter is going to a 5th birthday party for a boy in her class. They are having a superhero costume party and she will be going as Wonder Woman. I needed a card and I have been dying to use this Free Digi from Whiff Of Joy, called Spider Henry. I think he is just gorgeous.

Secondly I am entering him in the Priscilla's Midnight Madness Sketch 63. I went for the clean and simple version this time around as flowers on a boy's card probably wouldn't go down very well, unless I made them monster flowers or evil ones (LOL).

Thirdly I have am also entering him in the Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge where you had to make a masculine card. I am a mad fan of Faith's and she had a new online store called Mark's finest Papers, which has her one line of stamps and papers plus stocks Flourishes stamps.

So there you go. Look forward to seeing you all in Blogland.

Colour Create Mermaid

Hi Everyone,

I haven't been able to put this stamp down, I love it. I decided to do the Colour Create Challenge, of white, warm pinks and chocolate.

I used Bubbles Lostlagoon Stamp from SNS and coloured her in using copics. For the pearls and shell I used white gel pen then went over it with crystal effects to give it a bit of texture and shine. I made a fine slit in the hands to thread the thread through and used tape to adhere the string to the balloon.

Mermaids

Hi Everyone,
I am so excited the pack I won arrived today. I my girls wanted me to colour the mermaid to look like them so I did. I decided to use the sketch from Mojo's, but I wasn't happy with how the first card turned out. It needed better borders. I went back and redid the sketch with my other daughters colouring and I am much happier witht he result. I have also entered her into the Stampin' Royalty challenge which was anything fishy or splashy.

First Card

Second card the one I entered in to Mojo Sketch contest and Stampin' Royalty.

I used glitter around the edges and on the pearls. I also used the DP paper (rocks) from the pack I won. She is soooo cool to colour.

Thanks for looking.

Carry Moombeams home in a jar

....and be better off than you are...

Hi Everybody.

Today's card was made for the Priscilla's Midnight Madness Challenge sketch.
I had coloured in Coriander (SNS) a while back experimenting with the hair colour, and I had the background made up for one of my Owl cards but I decided to put them together. I wanted to had a sentiment that was revent such a blue moon, but since it wasn't blue I thought that might be silly... any way... I stumbled on the Would you like to swing on star? song and couldn't resist. One wish I had typed out the words and stuck them on as my writing looks bad.I love Coriander I think she is the cutest thing.. well since the mermaids series.

I am also loving this sketch I think I will make more cards using it.

Pink, peach and black challenge

Hi Everyone,

I made this card for the Colour Create Challenge, where you had to use Baby Pink, peach and black.
I decided to use the ultra cute Donkey from yesterday and create another baby card. I played with sketch but nothing seemed to work so I just ended up added SU Vintage Vogue vines stamp along the edges with black and added glitter to the edges and the image. The background DP is SU kaleidoscope.

Punch'n it for Michelle

Hello,

I was blog surfing and I found this very sad story to one of our fellow stampers. She was a design team member for Stampavie and recently lost her eye in a tragic accident which you can read here.
I have used the gorgeous freebie donkey image that was being given away by Whimsy Stamps. The image was designed by Melissa Jenkins and the sentiments by Ann Vento, and I think it is totally adorable.

I have entered this card into Speedy the Cat Challenge#11 where you had to use punches in your cards.
I just found this new Challenge Blog called Wild orchid and they have some create candy to launch the new blog. Click on the link in the right sidebar and have a look.

Vintage Teenager Card

Hi it is great to be stamping again. I am so excited I just went over to Amy's blog and discovered I had won one of the mermaids sets she was offering. I was keen to buy the set so this is such a bonus.
Today's card I had been planning ever since I went out a bought heaps of the Capella Basic Grey paper that I had been admiring on everyone's blogs. I also have fallen in love with the style of Hanna cards and I love her sketches although I need big cards to fit it all in. She likes to add class by using glitter around the edges so I decided to give this ago and I love the result.

Its good to be back.

Watch this space!!

After a very eventful transition from old house and new house I have my new Crafty Room. I will start making cards again after such a long absence.

I have been popping over to several blogs and challenge blogs and I must say it has been hard to look but not to be able to play.

Now that I am stable I think I will go for Design Teams and try to get my blog out there.

Thank you for your patience. I have been eyeing off the new mermaid stamp range at Sweet November. Once I have some money they will be the first splurge.

See you very shortly with my latest card and some photos as promised.
