sparkly Pocahontas

Hi everyone,

Wondering where I have been... I got hooked on facebook, catching up with friends and family and playing silly games. I return to the card land hopefully with style.

I recently receive my Prize from the fantastic Blog Hop at Mad For Markers. I was lucky enough to win three spica pens. I was and still am very excited about it. I even got more of a surprise when I received four not three. Wonderful.!! Thank you Sammi!!!

I am entering todays card in the Mad For Markers Challenge. We had to show off our Spica pens and guess what I have some.
I used my chocolate spica pen to highlight image from TGF - Indian Anya's hair. I used the purple spica pen to highlight the feather and colour in the triangles of her head band, also the tassels on her dress. I used the clear Spica pen to highlight the sentiment from SU. Hopefully you can see that in the image below. Click it on it to enlarge so you get a better look.

I paper peiced her top from scrap paper from the background designer paper.

mmsc111 XMas Bear

Hello,

Today's card is another xmas card (I am not going to be caught out like I was last year). I am using the lily of valley Bear with Present stamp. I have coloured him with copics in the colours matching the background DP. I have used a TGF Santa sentiment to creat a border, then added faux stitches around the images and the squares. I will mount this onto a crumb cake card, so it will tie in with stiching.

I have used the sketch from Midnight Madness Sketch challenge #111 I love there challenges and they are really supportive with their comments. Thank you ladies.

Hanna sketch

Hi everyone,

Today case has been inspired by a very talented teenager from Sweden called Hanna. I am a big fan of hers as she makes these incrediable cards, and projects. She is just amazing. If you are a big fan of Magnolia then you will know what I mean. I used the sketch she has designed. I used the JUST DANDY image from Mark's Finest Paper and I am entering this card into the Speedy Cat and Friends challenge make it sparkle.
I have added glitter to the edges of the border and onto the image itself. I have also added dimontes for extra sparkle.

xmas Cracker Teddy

Today's Card is for the Lily of the Valley sketch challenge designed by Donalda. I chose the Xmas cracker bear although I could chose any of the xmas bears from Lily of the valley as they are super cute. This image however suited my purpose as I wanted to do some paper piecing with the craker to tie into the background paper. I also wanted to start on my Christmas Cards before I leave it too late.

Just for you southern nightscape

Hello everyone,

I made today's card for the Colour Q challenge. I used the colours as inspiration. Using my Kaleidacolor blue breeze I brayered onto photo paper, then stamped the image from the JUST FOR YOU stamp set with versa marker then embossed it in black to make it pop out from the background. I then put stars in the sky (including the southern cross) with white gel pen. The used faux brads/button using one of the stamps from CIRCLE CIRCUS stamp set.

Thank you for looking.

mojo176

I have used the MoJO Monday's sketch 176 as inspiration this week. I had some left over DP from a previous card so I used that that the colour scheme. The Night of Navy didn't come into it until I had to put the card together, then it seemed out of place, so I added some dots however my pen part of the SU marker had dried up and the other end was kind of fuzzy from using it on stamps so it was a little over the top than I would've liked. If I had a new pen I would've put faux stitches around the sentiments.

Thanks for looking

Mojo 175 Mother' s day gebras

Hello everyone,

I have created todays' card using the sketch from Mojo Monday's #175 sketch. I love this sketch and will probably make many cards with it.

The colour scheme is actually inspired by a blush coloured gerbra that was in a bunch of flowers given to me by my husband for our wedding anniversary. We have been married now for 13 years... amazing.

I the gerbra's middle was burgundy but I chose Expresso as I had no DP in burgundy. Will rectify that I am sure by next month.. LOL.
I used the Flourishes Gebra set and cut it out as the main image. The sentiment is from SU and I stamped the blush card with expresso using the SU Circus Cirles stamp set.

200th post

Hi everyone,

It's my 200th post!! I can't believe it.

Here are two cards that I made with my new Sweet November Star Sign stamps.

Here is Virgo and Scorpio. These are really fun to colour with copics you can be so creative.

The first card Scorpio I used the same colourings as the creator Amy had in one of her cards as I just love the colour combo. I put my personally touches with the stars (can you find the southern cross). I used SCS 214 sketch as the background and kept the colour combo going through the card. Gee I am a big fan of the Cherry Cobbler colour. The second card fell into place since I had the background all ready to go. I carried the green theme into the flower and I chose big blue eyes as I wanted a tropical theme. I ummed and ahhed which sentiment to use since I had limited space and eventually went with Stampin' Up! Happy birthday from hostess Afterthoughts stamps set.

Hope you enjoy it.

Easter Blessings

Hello everyone,

I am created this card for several challenges today.

I wanted to recreate the moment of the cross with the 3pm sunset. I sponged different purples to create a layer effect finishing with cameo coral and the green grass. The cross was stamped first and covered with a post it note to keep it clean. I coloured the cross with copics.

I used the MOJO monday's sketch and my new black satin ribbon, so I was delight the sketch as a ribbon element. YAY!

I am also entering it into the following challenges.
Anyone for Anya?? - Easter card
Stampin for the weekend - Easter
Have a good weekend.

Formal Nora

Hello,

Sorry I have been absent for a while as I have been very busy with work and school etc. Also my Father had major surgery last week which was a stressful time. He is recovering well which pleases the whole family.

It my birthday on monday so I made this formal card to celebrate. No not reallyLOL.

I really enjoyed colouring this image from Whiff of Joy as you can get really creative with the dress. I used the SC294 as the sketch which was easier than it looks to make.

I am entering the card into the following challenges:
Whiff of joy _ anything goes
Stampin for the weekend - mother's day
Simon Says Stamp Challenge - girlie/mother's day card
Colour Create challenge - pastels
