Black and White with a little Sahara

Hello welcome to my blog.

I found this black and white paper (the flower Designer Paper on the card) and fell in love.  Immediately knew what card stock would look good with this paper.  I originally going to use the Geisha Anya from TGF but decided after recieving my new Edward Wild Sprout that I would make a male card.  Edward was coloured in copics using the black, c7, c5,c3 and c1 grey colours and baby skin pink.   The flower designer paper is from Bo Bunny's and the stripe paper is from Kaisercraft.   The cardstock is basic black, whisper white and Sahara Sands.
I used the Sketch from Splitcoast Stampers SC247 and will entering the card into this challenge. I have entered it into the OCC monochromatic challenge.

My football team (NRL) Parramatta got into the grand final so I am looking for to that on Sunday.  If they win I will be doing a few Cheerleader Anya's in Paramatta Eels colours (yellow and Blue).
GO THE EELS!!!!!

Pink Bunny Birthday

Hello everyone,
I created this one for the new colour create Challenge.  We were asked to use the colours Hot Pink, Light/Dusty pink and Chocolate.
I not entirely happy with the card, as I look at it I think I should have made the flourish chocolate and use some white flowers to break up the pink flowers.
What I used:
The paper is from SU - Pixie Pink, chocolate Chip and the designer paper is from Spring Fling.
The Images are from - SU, Kaiser Craft and TGF.
The Brad is from SU and the Flower is from Kaiser Craft.

Please come back to my blog on the 1st of Oct for my second  monthly challenge which will be another Sketch.  You still have time to enter the first as I will announce the winners on the 1st as well.

Hello everyone,

Thanks for dropping by my blog.   At the top of the blog is my Monthly Card Challenge - you only have a couple of days to get  your entries in as I will announce the winners on my blog on the 1st of OCT, and have the new challenge deciding on whether to do a colour challenge or another sketch challenge.

What is your preference?

The card above with inspired by  the Stampin' UP! Idea Book & Catalogue 2009-2010(Australian version) you will see on page 10 you will see the colours that inspired me for this challenge.  Because those colours really go well I decided to do a teenage type card.  So Figure any 13 -16 year old would love this card.  Do  you agree?

Baby cards that are so cute!

Good morning everyone,
I am glad people are participating in my Card challenges above.  For those that haven't had a look, I will be running a monthly Card Challenge, where we will follow card sketches, colour schemes, techquies or a combination of both.  There will be prizes and the top 5 will be judged by myself and ranked in order.  Please join the fun and spread the word.

Lets move along.....
Below are two baby cards I have created with the TGF Oh baby set.  This is a real cute set and I am looking forwards to making lots of different cards with it.

For the boys

For the girls

The paper used is from the retired SU Designer paper called Spring Break  and Spring Fling or something like that.  The card is Chocolate Chip, Pink Piroette and Bashful Blue. The Teddy bellies and ear were colour with SU markers bashful blue and pretty in pink and the bodies were coloured with copics E37 and E47.  The Sentiment comes from the SU Artfully Asian stamp set.

My new TGF stamp

I have entered the card above into the Simon Says Challenge, challenge.  We had to follow a recipe which was :
1  picture, 2 papers and 3 embellishments.   I chose for the picture the TGF Anya Indian, because she is so cute and I just got her this week.  The papers were chosen from the SU western designer paper, and the embellishments were the ribbon (which came out funny in the scan as it is sheer), the feathers which are in the US flag colours to reflect where she came from and the chocolate brads.

Also at the top of my blog is my card challenges if you would like to participate.  Winners will be displayed on my blog on the 1st OCT.  Good luck.

Wealthy Geisha

Hi everyone, I am finally feeling back to my good ol' self.   I have entered the design a sprout competition over at TGF so go along and check it out here  ( please don't laugh too hard).  I am entering this card for the new colour challenge at  Color Create Challenge  where the new colours are neon green and black.  I don't have any neon green but I went for green galore which is pretty bright.  I chose the geisha anya from TGF and mixed it up with some Asian style stamps from SU.  The circle symbol means wealth.  I used green glitter for the flower pin in the hair and on the kimono.
On Jo's fabulous heads up I have also entered this into Simon says Oriental Challenge. Thank you.

A colour challenge

I discovered this colour challenge site and I am going to enter.  the colours for the challenge are ruby, cream and gold.  These colours together are so elegant and regal it is amazing.
I decided to use the TGF little chef and I liked the idea of gold icing for the cupcakes, with a glazed cherry on top.

What a couple of weeks i had!!!!

I have had a couple of weeks that I would like to put behind me, as it sapped my soul and drained all motivation.  I had the sad passing of my Uncle and was very sick with the flu.  As I slowly recover from both I am returning to card making.  I am still needing a little motivation, and I know that will return when my new TGF stamps arrive.... For inspiration and something to CASE I went to the lady that has inspired me greatly as she is so talented... Faith Hofrichter  and chose one of her cards see here.
I  have entered this card below, into the stamping for the weekend colour challenge week 14.  For this challenge we had to use Teal, orange and pink.
Colours used are Taken with Teal, pixie pink, Pretty in pink, Pumpkin Pie and used Copics to colour in the cow.  The stamps are from TGF rock the farm and the background flower is from Stampin UP.
The ribbon is actually bright orange, but it didn't scan very well.

Montygonza's Monthly Card Challenges - #OCT09

Welcome to my first ever Card Challenge.

Today I have decided to create a monthly Card Challenge and today it will be a card sketch challenge.  To play along you have to use the sketch above and create your own card.  It must be a new card created for this challenge.  You may combine with other challenges as long as the sketch design is maintained.   Below is my interpretation of the sketch I created.   I will judge each card and pick a winner, I will also pick a top 5 in order.   There will be prizes but since this will be the first Challenge and I don't know how many people will play, it will be just for fun.

To play along just add a link to your card creation in the comments section of my blog, and mention Montygonza's Card Challenges in your blog.  I will go to your site and leave a comment so that you know when I have looked at your card.
The winners will be announced on my Blog on the  1ST of OCT.

Good luck and enjoy  Spread the word!
