Fairy kisses of love

Hello everyone,

Back at work is so hard when most people have gone on holidays. Work slows down to a crawl and the clock just seems to go backwards. I have just started watching Glee season one from the begining as I got season one and two for Christmas. Love it I have even got my little girls hooked on it.

Today's card is for the MOJO monday's 171 sketch. I have use design paper from Stampin' Up! and Love stamps from SU's Kenji set. I have used the adorable fairy from The Greeting farm and coloured her in simple colours with copics.

Thank you for looking.

Merry Xmas

Merry Christmas everyone!

I have some happier news we manage to find one our dogs that ran away a few weeks ago. We found him safe and well roaming the street not to far from us. However we believe or rather we hope that our other dog Porsha has been taken in by another family. We are still praying to get her back.

I finally got my mojo back now that I'm happier and have the Christmas spirit in me. I decided to come out a play some Blog Challenges. I have been meaning to do a Mojo sketch for a long time so I decided to follow this week's sketch # 170 and I couldn't go past the colour create challenge with their cool colour scheme of PLUM and White.

I bought a new digi stamp from Tickled Pink called Luca so I combined all three and came up with the card below

Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful and safe Christmas.

Porsha and Rhade you have touched my life.

Hello everyone,

I've been very sad all week, as I have lost my two very precious dogs on Tuesday, they are two Miniature Schnauzers called Porsha and Rhade. My darling daughter had left the gate open or rather not shut properly and the dogs had got out.
We raced around trying to find them. We had some people see the dogs in various places around our home, but we have not been able to find them. It is very distressing as they were like our children. The oldest dog called Porsha was like our first born as we got her before kids.

Anyway before I cry....

The card above was made using the stamp sets Embrace life and Rose is Rose. I coloured the roses and the "leaves" in copics and glittered the edges. I used black, natural ivory, Designer paper from candy lane. I put faux stitching around the edges so finish of the card.

I think this card reflects how I feel at the moment.
I am entering this card at The Colour Dare - Red and Green

Anyone for Anya DT Call

Hello everyone,

I am entering this strange little card into the Anyone for Anya DT call. I am very excited to try out for this Challenge blog as it uses my favourite stamps from The Greeting Farm and now CC designs.
For the card I used the TGF Rachel head and coloured her in using copics. The layout is from Midnight Maddness Challenge blog with there fancy sketches. The colour scheme is from the colour Q using Soft Suede, Whisper White, Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise and Wasabi Green.I should've added some bling and glitter to match this gorgeous picture, maybe next card.

Wish me luck in attempt to become a Anyone for Anya Design team member.

Sweet Romance

Hi Everyone,

I have a card to suit several challenges today. Firstly the Sketch is for the Midnight Maddness Challenge #79 and I absolutely love the sketch. The second challenge is the colour challenge over at Colour Throwdown - Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede and Kraft (crumble cake).

I have used the TGF images from Miss Anya range and coloured them in with copics, the kraft background has been stamped with Soft Suede with SU's punch potporri love heart and the small love hearts have been punched out and the edges distressed with soft suede.
I have also added this card into Anyone for Anya - Kraft card.

I hope you like the card.

Happy Birthday Marcela

Hi Everyone,

Well its another dreary day, we have gone from being on strict water restriction due to low dam levels and no rain to almost flooding, it seems to be raining everyday or look like its going to rain, but the most disappointing things NO Thunderstorms! I love thunderstorms so I was hoping for a good season over the next summer months.

Any how....

It's my cousin's daughter 2nd birthday this weekend and I have made her a special card using the sketch from Anyone for Anya?. I used the ballerina Anya as she is so cute and fit in well with Marcela. I coloured her to look like Marcela with copics and added glitter glue to the tiara and tutu.
The colours are from the Colour Challenge at Stampin' Royalty - Cajun Craze, Marina Mist, Pear Pizazz and So Saffron.

Yee Haw!

Hello everyone,

I found I am doing more girl cards than boy cards, so I decided to make a boy card. I have been eyeing off Sheriff Ian from TGF for a while and finally found the right colours to colour him in. The Colour Dare and Colour Throwdown both have Poppy Parade, Pear pizazz, chocolate Chip as there main colours for the there challenge. However Colour dare also has very vanilla and Colour Throwdown has So saffron. I used both to fit both challenges. I followed the incredible sketch from Midnight Maddness and was going to do the fancy design, but it was for a boy so I stayed with the simple design. I am also entering this card into the Card for Men challenge which requires a masculine birthday card.

I hope you like the card.

See you around

Beautiful Butterflies

Hi Everyone,

I made this card for the basic grey challenge - sparkle. I chose the Basic Grey's Cappella's bravo as I love Blush colour running through it. The borders I have used chocolate chip, very vanilla and wild wasabi as those colours were also in it. The punches were chocochip, sage shadow and blush. I ummed and ahhhed on how to position the 3 circles to make them fit but ended up as shown. I coloured the SU Butterfly with copics G21, G94,G07,E49 and E95. I then added glitter glue all over the butterfy then heat gunned the poor thing to death at it created a golden spritz effects with green shimmer through it when moved around. I added the TGF sentiment as I was aiming for a reflective card for Sympathy. I added pearls to fill in the spaces.

Sparkly Elf

Hello Everyone,

Today's card is the TGF's elf as a christmas theme without using traditional colours. I love purple and I had been eyeing off my eggplant paper amongst whisper paper on my desk for a while. I love the colour combo. I have used SU designer paper in eggplant and to create the background. I coloured the elf in copics BV08, E08,E2, and E21. I have used a snowflake punch and added some rhinestones and glitter glue for a bit of glitz and sparkle.

Simon Says challenge

Hello Everyone

I made today's card for the Simon Says Challenge which is a lovely sketch by Jay Jay. I had to play along. The theme for the card is a masculine Christmas. I used the gorgeous Santa Ian from The Greeting Farm and followed t he sketch. I used my new designer paper from SU in cajun and marina mist and the boarders are crumbe cake formly known as kraft. I used copics E08, E35, C100, E29. I added silver pen to his buckle and silver brads. The brads were added after I tried to be clever and used the single hole punch so that the background card came through the paper to act like brads, but i punched one set crooked. So the brad are hiding my mistake.

I hope you enjoyed the card.

Hi everyone,

I have made this card with two challenges in mind. Colour Throwdown using river rock, mambo melon and Pacific Point with the Mojo Monday's sketch.

I used the stampendous Fresh bloom a stamp I had to have but never really used. I added a bit of bling to the flower by added rhinestones and glitter. I sponged on the flower edges pink passion as it came up better.

Cream, Red and Gold Geisha

Hello everyone,

I made this card for the colour create challenge - Red, Gold and White/Cream.
I chose cream, red and Gold. I followed the SC214 Sketch with the Jolly Holiday Designer paper. I coloured in my favourite Geisha (from TGF) to match, using a gold pen to flowers. I am really please with how it turned out. I used real red SU marker to create the faux stitches, and added gold brads. I couldn't decide what sentiment to go with it as it looked "Christmasy" but I don't know if Geisha is appropiate for Christmas, so I chose Warmest Wishes(from SU) to cover anything.

Wanna another challenge I am running a colour challenge see below to enter.

Blueberry MOJO

Hello Everyone,

Today's card was made for the MOJO Monday's sketch #155. I used the sketch using the Blueberry Designer Papers from SU. I really love theses colours but the colour scheme was actually inspired by a work colleges knitted top. It had flowers in blue, cream and beige so I tried to copy that. When my new DP order came in the papers all matched the centre peice, so I was really really pleased.

The colour scheme is Not quite Navy, Sahara Sands, Natural Ivory, Pacific Point and Whisper White. I used paper flowers from Forever Flowers, and I stamped Vintage vogue flowers in White onto some Not quite Navy paper, and Not quite Navy onto Sahara Sand paper. The petals are from Winter Roses. All images are from Stampin Up!

Thank you for looking,
My colour challenge is tomorrow so come have a look

Colour Dare Challenge

Hi everyone,

This card was made for the Colour Dare Challenge.

Very Vanilla Pretty in Pink Cherry Cobbler Garden Green

I used my new Delightful Decorations stamp set and went to work. As I don't have garden green or cherry cobbler ink I used Red Riding hood and Glorious green instead. I added gold strands to complete the decorations.

Bunny Mine

Hello Everyone,

Today's card is for the Tickled Pink Stamp Monthly Challenge sketch. It one of my favourites I have used this sketch several times. I used some of my SU Designer Paper and cut into squares.

I used baja breeze since I have alot of left over scraps and used my new Expresso Card stock for the card. The image is from Sweet November Stamps with the two bunnies and the sentiment although very small says alot "BE MINE" from SU. The bunnies were coloured with copics and I used faux stitching to help finish off the image square.

Thank You for looking.

Fishy Five

Hi Everyone,

Happy Father's Day!

I made this card last night for the Speedy the Cat and Friends Challenge. We had to five of something on the card and I chose the Fish. The main four fish and seaweed are from Ocean Commotion from SU and the fifth fish is the very cute Anela from Sweet November Stamps. I chose the colour theme and layout based on the fish, (plus it is a great way to use up scraps).

I will be back with more cards!

Baby card set

Hello Everyone,

It is raining at my place and I don't think I've seen this much rain for five years or more.

Today's card was made for two challenges this week Colour Create Challenge - pastel purple, mint, and yellow and I followed MOJO sketch #154.
I'm not overly impressed with my effort, I will have to redo this card as I stuck things on crooked and I think the amethyst inked image is to pale for the card. What do you think?

Pink, Orange and Saffron Thank you

Hello Everyone.   This was my first attempt at making my own flowers and using buttons on my card.  It was easy to make:  I just punched out three scallop circles, crushed them and put them through the SU Crimper several times until they were able to be peeled apart to make six.  I also tried an normal circle punched and it seemed to work fine.  I attached the button using Crystal Effects.

I layered the Rain Miss Anya image by stamping it twice and used dimensions to pop it up to create the 3d effect.
The colour scheme is for the Colour Create Challenge which we had to use Pink, orange and Saffron and over at Speedy Cat and Friends we were asked to make thank you cards which I did.

I better go as my little darling has a middle ear infection.

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY!!!!!

I made this card to celebrate their 2nd birthday. I participated in the last year and it was alot of fun. I decided to use Wendy stamp and I paper peiced the dress and hair ribbon. I have also added faux stitching. The Papers are from Stampin' Up! Vintage Vogue. I used copics to colour her in and if you look closely I have added things to the book to celebrate The Greeting Farm's birthday.

Can you see Marie???

Just so you don't think I'm a stalker or anything, this was the photo given on the blog after several TGF fans wanted to know what Marie looked like. Like most people I was surprised at how young she was. I can't believe I've been buying and playing with TGF stamps now for under two years, WOW.
Congrats on your success and I hope to be buying more TGF stamps in the future.

Please head back to the main blog list to find out who is next.

I'm Spotty for you!

Hello everyone,

I made this card with several challenges in mind. I used the beautiful sketch at MOJO Mondays, I'm almost too late to enter it but I will get it there on time. Over at Simon Says they want spots lots of spots. I haven't done Simon Says Challenge for a while so I though I better play along, so I used a Rich Razzleberry ribbon as my inspiration, which led my to the other challenge I haven't played for along time Anya Ink which was black and White plus another colour. So I knew I had to use the Rich Razzleberry. I found the closest Copic to use which was R59 and coloured in her dress and feather as I didn't want too much colour. Since it was going to be black and white I found some dotty black and white DP from Kaisercraft and followed the sketch. I added dots to the dress for more dottiness and around the borders.

I hope you like it.

Get Well for a Friend or Friend

At my work a friend of mine asked me to make him a Get Well card for him for a friend of his that was going into hospital. He told me she a jet black hair, loved blue, pink, silver and purple. Loved lipgloss, PJ's and cupcakes. I think I covered most of that request what do you think?

Looking forward to celebrating TGF's second birthday. I have a little surprise in store with my card I can't wait.

Spider Henry

Hi this card is serving several purposes today. Firstly my daughter is going to a 5th birthday party for a boy in her class. They are having a superhero costume party and she will be going as Wonder Woman. I needed a card and I have been dying to use this Free Digi from Whiff Of Joy, called Spider Henry. I think he is just gorgeous.

Secondly I am entering him in the Priscilla's Midnight Madness Sketch 63. I went for the clean and simple version this time around as flowers on a boy's card probably wouldn't go down very well, unless I made them monster flowers or evil ones (LOL).

Thirdly I have am also entering him in the Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge where you had to make a masculine card. I am a mad fan of Faith's and she had a new online store called Mark's finest Papers, which has her one line of stamps and papers plus stocks Flourishes stamps.

So there you go. Look forward to seeing you all in Blogland.

Colour Create Mermaid

Hi Everyone,

I haven't been able to put this stamp down, I love it. I decided to do the Colour Create Challenge, of white, warm pinks and chocolate.

I used Bubbles Lostlagoon Stamp from SNS and coloured her in using copics. For the pearls and shell I used white gel pen then went over it with crystal effects to give it a bit of texture and shine. I made a fine slit in the hands to thread the thread through and used tape to adhere the string to the balloon.

Mermaids

Hi Everyone,
I am so excited the pack I won arrived today. I my girls wanted me to colour the mermaid to look like them so I did. I decided to use the sketch from Mojo's, but I wasn't happy with how the first card turned out. It needed better borders. I went back and redid the sketch with my other daughters colouring and I am much happier witht he result. I have also entered her into the Stampin' Royalty challenge which was anything fishy or splashy.

First Card

Second card the one I entered in to Mojo Sketch contest and Stampin' Royalty.

I used glitter around the edges and on the pearls. I also used the DP paper (rocks) from the pack I won. She is soooo cool to colour.

Thanks for looking.

Carry Moombeams home in a jar

....and be better off than you are...

Hi Everybody.

Today's card was made for the Priscilla's Midnight Madness Challenge sketch.
I had coloured in Coriander (SNS) a while back experimenting with the hair colour, and I had the background made up for one of my Owl cards but I decided to put them together. I wanted to had a sentiment that was revent such a blue moon, but since it wasn't blue I thought that might be silly... any way... I stumbled on the Would you like to swing on star? song and couldn't resist. One wish I had typed out the words and stuck them on as my writing looks bad.I love Coriander I think she is the cutest thing.. well since the mermaids series.

I am also loving this sketch I think I will make more cards using it.

Pink, peach and black challenge

Hi Everyone,

I made this card for the Colour Create Challenge, where you had to use Baby Pink, peach and black.
I decided to use the ultra cute Donkey from yesterday and create another baby card. I played with sketch but nothing seemed to work so I just ended up added SU Vintage Vogue vines stamp along the edges with black and added glitter to the edges and the image. The background DP is SU kaleidoscope.

Punch'n it for Michelle

Hello,

I was blog surfing and I found this very sad story to one of our fellow stampers. She was a design team member for Stampavie and recently lost her eye in a tragic accident which you can read here.
I have used the gorgeous freebie donkey image that was being given away by Whimsy Stamps. The image was designed by Melissa Jenkins and the sentiments by Ann Vento, and I think it is totally adorable.

I have entered this card into Speedy the Cat Challenge#11 where you had to use punches in your cards.
I just found this new Challenge Blog called Wild orchid and they have some create candy to launch the new blog. Click on the link in the right sidebar and have a look.

Vintage Teenager Card

Hi it is great to be stamping again. I am so excited I just went over to Amy's blog and discovered I had won one of the mermaids sets she was offering. I was keen to buy the set so this is such a bonus.
Today's card I had been planning ever since I went out a bought heaps of the Capella Basic Grey paper that I had been admiring on everyone's blogs. I also have fallen in love with the style of Hanna cards and I love her sketches although I need big cards to fit it all in. She likes to add class by using glitter around the edges so I decided to give this ago and I love the result.

Its good to be back.

Watch this space!!

After a very eventful transition from old house and new house I have my new Crafty Room. I will start making cards again after such a long absence.

I have been popping over to several blogs and challenge blogs and I must say it has been hard to look but not to be able to play.

Now that I am stable I think I will go for Design Teams and try to get my blog out there.

Thank you for your patience. I have been eyeing off the new mermaid stamp range at Sweet November. Once I have some money they will be the first splurge.

See you very shortly with my latest card and some photos as promised.

sc278 insipration case

Hello,
I fell in love with this card by Neva, her colours are amazing and I love this stamp from TGF.

So I decided to use the same stamp and layout (sc278) and recreate the magic. I wanted to use all the colours she used as I love the blue and peach colours of the princess's dress. However I chose the DP Paper and it was very pink so I had to go with that.

I think I need to tone it down with either white or black dots what do you think?
