Peppermint Aero Bar Inspiration

Hi all,

Still playing with my new Sweet November Stamps.  Since Easter is my favourite time of year (chockies yeah!) my immediately thought of chocolate when I saw this Designer Paper from SU.

So hence the Bar Pattern.  I was going to add easter eggs around the child but agreeing with my husband it looked cuter without it. What do yo think?

Sweet November Easter

Hi everyone,

I have recieved my gorgeous new stamps from Sweet November Stamps.  This first card is my first card with the stamps.  I couldn't make up my mind which one to use as I bought most of the easter release.

I chose the colours as they best represent easter.  Those little chicks are so cute.

Robin Red Breast

Hello Everyone,

I made this card up Sunday morning.  I was inspired by the Robin Red Breast pictures I searched on the web.  I coloured The Greeting Farm's Vintage bird in the colours of the Robin Red breast then set about creating the card.  I used dots to highlight the borders but I think they are not dark enough.

I love these birds they are so cute and chubby looking.  I also like Blue Fairy Wren so I will try and make on of those too.
Thank you for looking

Maria Monochromatic

I made this for the Anya Ink Monochromatic challenge.  I chose  brown as the colour.  The image is called Maria from TGF and I won her.  Only five other people have this image which makes it special.  I added some SU sentiment and roses from the Wild roses and Blossoms abound sets.
The sketch is from Sugar bowl.
I coloured her in using copics and the paper is all from SU designer paper.

cards for men

I made this up quickly for the Cards for men sketch challenge.

I had the soldier coloured for the sketch a week ago but I have been so busy that I hadn't got around to putting the card together.  The Soldier is dressed in the Australian Iraq and Afghanistan camoflage uniform, also affectionately called "hearts and bunnies".
I thought this would be perfect for our ANZAC Day for the partners of the soldiers.

Surprise a Fireman

For Colour Create Challenge we were asked to use Chocolate, Red, White or Off White and Pink.  I coloured in the fireman in various shade of red, then found some Designer paper that had pink and red.  I chose spots as it stood out and I could use dots to highlight the edges.

The image is Rescue Ian from TGF he is so cute and I loved colouring him in red.
Happy Valentine's Day everyone.  I hope you have a nice romantic evening or day with your favourite person or family as it is in my case.  We were to late to book anywhere nice, so we will double up on a Anniversary.

Busy Busy Busy BEE

HI everyone,

Thought I post a quick post to stay I am still alive, just been busy looking at buying a new house and it has been taking alot of time and worry, as the real estate agent keeps playing hard ball with us.  You know telling us before put an offer on that they want one thing then when we give them an offer  they come back with "The vendor's dream price is.."  which ended up being 60,000 more than what we offered.

Stressful, but I will be getting back into cards soon.  I am looking at these gorgeous challenges and realising I am going to miss the cut of dates again.

Anyhow I will keep you post on the house situation and hopefully have more cards next week.  I am also waiting on the new release of Sweet November's Easter stamps.

SCS challenge 266

Hi everyone,

I made this card for the SCS challenge 266.  Wow it's been a long time since I had done of the sketches over at SCS.   I really enjoyed creating this card.  Again I had coloured the image before I thought about the card.

I wanted to a black and cream card as I have alot of left over black card and had some black and cream Designer paper to use up.

I used some peach satin ribbon and coloured in the lily from the TGF me time set in peach and black.  It was meant to match the dress but I think it matches her face, oh well. LOL.

Purple Princess and the Green Frog

Hi everyone,

I made this cute card for the Anya and Friends Wild Card Wednesday challenge, which we had use purple and green.  I personally love purple and green together, its refreshing and very calming.

I coloured the image in first with copics, then I went through all my Designer paper to mix and match the right colours.  I came up with SU Les Jardin and Kaisercraft's spirograph paper.   With Sage Shadow borders and eggplant cardstock.   I was going to put flowers but they looked out of place.  I thought about ribbon but I had already stuck down the squares so after staring at the green frog I decided to use my gorgeous waterlily set from Flourishes.   I think it ties in with the image very well.

Anya Ink - Princess and the frog

Hi,

This week at Anya Ink we had a sketch to make and I chose a fairytale theme.   I chose the Twinkle Tot stamp and the new prince Ian stamp to create a fairytale of sorts.  I coloured the princess as snow white, yet she didn't need to kiss a frog in her dreams to get a frog, but that doesn't matter.

The Front is the sketch, where the sentiment is computer generated. and the ribbon is actually gold, to highlight the gold stripes in her dress and on the Prince which is found inside the card.

I hadn't actually stuck the paper down, so it went a little skew if in the scanning process.
